Looking back at your preliminary how do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
During the start of the media academic course, I wasn't that familiar with any of the editing software's and how to use them to the ability of making a magazine. I have learnt throughout this time of doing media the different editing software's and how to use them to its full potential. in addition, what goes into making a magazine when doing my previous research It takes alot of thought and creativity into making magazines and making them as engaging and eye catching as possible in order for them to sell. I've also learnt that its important before making a magazine, a hard worked out plan must be done first, where you think about the type of audience you are trying to appeal to and the sort of genre your going to have. Which includes alot of thought and time taken as well as layout and structure. Research is also important before starting to do a magazine as buy looking at professional published ones, helps give you an idea of how to structure out your own magazine. After researching and looking at professional magazine's I was able to then include idea's from those magazines and put them into my own magazine as my own creation. I really enjoyed doing this and producing the magazine as the magazine I made was a magazine I would pick up and buy for myself to read due to it being towards my own age group. Overall This course has been very successful and allowed me to understand all key features of a magazine and the inputs that go into it, in order to get the final product. It has also enabled me to gain new skills in editing software and I have also gained more knowledge about magazines than i did before hand when starting at my preliminary, therefore this course has been a successful experience.
